MindManager 2016 for Windows is coming soon, and it’s full of new functionality and features that users have been clamoring for. Finally, generate the table, and an instant executive summary appears at the beginning. Then use a heading style to summarise each key point throughout the document. Insert a contents table at the start of a memo, but label it "Executive Summary" and tweak it to omit dot leaders and page numbers. You can also use Word's table of contents feature to create automated executive summaries. Even inattentive readers can't miss the three chilli message. One chilli matters are the kinds of things it would be good to address next time there is an overall review of the site's content. Two chilli issues can wait a few months if necessary, but should still be a priority. Three chilli items are red hot and need to be addressed before a regulator comes across the site. Mindjet's MindManager is a heavyweight compared to SimpleMind's light and easy skill set, but it costs $349 for a single Windows licence. Parts of the picture can be collapsed and expanded, or attached to documents like Word files. But the picture is information rich, using shapes, colours, lines, arrows and badges to reflect relationships between pieces of a puzzle. Most simply put, MindManager lets you pictorially represent structures, processes and problems. Her life changed forever when we introduced her to MindManager mind mapping software. It was brilliant, but one gust from the aircon could disrupt days of work. For flexibility, she cut elements out of the paper so they could be relocated. I once worked with an intellectual property guru who needed an oversized desk, just to provide enough room for the butcher's paper maps she relied on to analyse complex situations. If you're smart enough to identify how your target wants to be wooed, there's a tech tool for achieving maximum effect. There are skimmers and deep divers, folks who prefer screens to paper and vice versa. There are pictorial people and wordy people and ones who like to listen. Different people like to get their information in different ways.
